Sometimes, HE Sends a Dove
At the start of 2025, I embarked on a meaningful journey by self-publishing my book, Sometimes, HE Sends a Dove, which reflects my personal Christian perspective on spirituality. The title was Inspired by the captivating series, The Chosen (be sure to check out Season 3, Episode 7!), this book delves into themes of Faith, Hope, Love, Salvation, and Redemption.
Within its pages, I share my own story of redemption and salvation, alongside experiences from individuals I hold dear and compelling narratives I've researched. My sincere hope is that this book resonates with readers from all walks of life, inspiring them, offering hope, and drawing them closer to God.
I'm thrilled to share that Sometimes, HE Sends a Dove is now available on Amazon. Click the button below to get your copy!
From Chapter Three: He Sends a Dove (pages 22-23)
"During His final days, Jesus faced unimaginable persecution. He was falsely accused and branded a blasphemer, a title that only added to the scorn directed toward Him. The brutality He endured was harrowing; He was spat upon, beaten, and subjected to intense humiliation. The Roman scourges, designed for maximum suffering, tore into His flesh, leaving deep wounds. A crown of thorns was cruelly thrust onto His head, pressing into His temples, causing excruciating pain and blood to flow.
As He made His way through the streets of Jerusalem, He was forced to carry His own cross—a heavy burden that symbolized not just the physical weight but the spiritual weight of the world’s sins. The journey to Golgotha, the site of His crucifixion, was a harrowing ordeal, marked by jeers and insults from the crowds.
When He arrived, the brutality escalated; He was literally nailed to the cross through His hands and feet, each strike a testament to the suffering He willingly accepted. Elevated on that cross, He endured an agonizing and excruciating death, surrounded by mockery yet filled with compassion for those who inflicted such pain upon Him."
John, The Island of Prophecy
About eight years ago, I was struck by a compelling idea for a writing project. I began to explore it but set it aside for a time. Last year, however, the idea returned to me with remarkable clarity—like a gentle nudge from God. That moment sparked a surge of inspiration, and I began writing with an enthusiasm I can hardly put into words.
So, what’s this book all about? I’m excited to share that it’s titled John, the Island of Prophecy. This faith-based fictional novel takes you on a journey with John, the beloved disciple of Christ, during his exile on the island of Patmos, where the profound visions of Revelation began to unfold.
Originally, I planned to start the story just after John’s vision, but I realized many readers find the Book of Revelation daunting or intimidating. To bridge that gap, I decided to weave John’s vision into the narrative. My hope is that this approach makes the complex themes within easier to digest and understand, ultimately sparking a deeper sense of urgency in your faith journey.
John, the Island of Prophecy is the first book in a planned seven-book series, and I can’t wait for you to experience it. I invite you to explore this story and its themes, and I hope it resonates with you on your spiritual path.
If you’re ready to embark on this journey with John, I encourage you to purchase your copy today! It is available on both Amazon.com as well as Barnesandnoble.com. Click the button below to get your copy.
From Chapter 8 The Vision (Part 4) The Trumpet Judgments (pages 124-125)
"John felt his heart quicken. The days of the seventh angel would bring the completion of the mystery of God, as declared to His servants the prophets. How much more? John lamented internally. “O Lord, how much more can there be? I pray, Father, please show mercy. Please forgive them, for they know not what they are doing.” He spoke aloud, his voice trembling with sincerity and desperation.
Suddenly, he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder, grounding him amid the tumult. Turning quickly, John’s heart surged with recognition as he saw his Lord and Savior, Jesus, standing beside him once again. The warmth of His presence enveloped John, pushing back the oppressive darkness that threatened to consume him.
Jesus looked at John with a mix of sadness and compassion, His eyes reflecting a depth of love that transcended the chaos surrounding them. “My son,” He began, His voice soothing yet firm, “blessed are you for your compassion. I know that this is difficult for you to witness.”
A swell of gratitude and pain washed over John simultaneously. “Lord, it’s unbearable,” he confessed, his voice breaking. “The suffering, the darkness… It’s overwhelming. How can they choose this path? How can they turn away from You?”
“I give you My strength,” Jesus replied, placing His other hand on John’s other shoulder, a gesture filled with reassurance. “You must endure and stay the course. Have you not seen how My Father and I have given them every opportunity to repent, to turn to Me for forgiveness?”
John nodded, tears welling in his eyes as memories flooded back—memories of Christ’s love, His sacrifices, the time He spent calling people to repentance.
“Do you remember when I told you that there is no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friends?” Jesus asked.
“Yes, Lord. I remember,” John replied, his heart aching with the weight of it all.
Jesus continued, His voice steady and full of authority, “I have given ‘EVERYTHING’ for them. I have shed My blood and My body in forgiveness of their sins. There is nothing more that I can give.” His gaze bore into John’s, underscoring the gravity of His words. “I have made a way for their salvation, yet they have chosen not to accept it. My Father and I desire that no one should go down into the depths, but that all should have everlasting life.”
